"Haralson County GIS Implementation", EMI is in a process
of completing the countywide GIS implementation project for Haralson County
Georgia. This project requires conversion of 16,000 parcel,
and soil data, GIS database design and training. The project is scheduled
to complete by June 2007.
"MEASURING THE IMPACT OF TRANSIT INVESTMENT ON LAND
VALUE USING SATELLITE REMOTE SENSING TECHNOLOGY", this
project required land use classification using precision
satellite imageries, integration and standardization of
GIS data, and modeling to perform the impact analysis.
The research is in the Phase II level. The project was
funded by USDOT SBIR Program.(PI: Acharya)
National Strategy for Creating a Country-Wide GIS for
Nepal: This project was funded by the United Nations UNDP,
Kathmandu with Dr. Acharya serving as the project coordinator.

Cauca Valley, Colombia, Sugarcane Industry GIS: This
project required hundreds of GPS control points and vectorization
of existing parcel maps. The GPS control survey work for
this project was supervised by Dr. Acharya. (PWE: Acharya)
Cobb County, GA GIS Project: Dr. Bishwa Acharya was
instrumental in checking the accuracy standard of the
GIS database. (PWE: Acharya)
Forsyth County, GA GIS Project: This project required
approximately 1000 GPS control points for the transformation
of the parcel maps into a common datum. Dr. Acharya supervised
the QA/QC and GPS control point establishment for this
