Earth Mapping International (EMI) is an US-based geomatics engineering consulting firm specializing in digital photogrammetry, LiDAR topographic mapping, engineering mapping, orthophoto production, remote sensing, land use/cover mapping, parcel data conversion, gravity surveys, geodesy, high accuracy GPS surveys, photo control surveys, research, and development of Comprehensive Geographic Information Systems (C-GIS).The firm has utilized Intergraph, Trimble, Leica, Optech, and Scintrex hardware and a wide range of related software to process over 7,500 Gigabytes of data. The focus of EMI's data capture/conversion and analysis is
to provide governments and industries with tools to identify
natural and man-made surface and sub-surface features for
many applications.
The primary products are Digital Terrain Models (DTM), planimetric
data, land use / land cover data, ortho-rectified photographic
image maps, obtained via aerial analog cameras, or aerial
digital cameras, or satellite sensors or non-imaging laser
scanners (LIDAR). These are integrated with database applications
to develop a comprehensive Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) or engineering design, or development planning projects.
